A Heartfelt Thanksgiving Greeting from Pastor Pizarro

As you travel and gather with family and friends this Thanksgiving, my heart is with you. I pray your holidays overflow with laughter, warmth, and cherished moments. May the Lord keep watch over you on your journeys, and may your tables be blessed with prayer, civility, and abundant grace. Take a quiet moment to inventory your blessings and feel the warm gratitude for the gifts of the present, the past, and the bright hope of the future. And on Thanksgiving, may we pause to thank God for all these blessings, gratefully offering our hearts in praise.

Let us also lift in prayer those who are less fortunate and those who cannot be with their loved ones this holiday. May the Lord surprise them with unexpected blessings and comfort, and may our compassion and generosity flow as we remember them in faith.

Heavenly Father,

Source of all life and light, I give thanks for the breath that sustains me, a gentle reminder of Your continual presence within and around me. Thank You for the gift of existence, for the intricacy of creation that reveals Your wisdom in every dawn and every sigh of the wind.

I am grateful for Your boundless compassion, which flows like an ever renewing river, cleansing my wounds, soothing my fears, and lifting me toward Your mercy. Your benevolence is a refuge I cannot exhaust, a sanctuary where my brokenness meets Your healing grace.

Thank You for the sacrament of resurrection, a radiant pledge that life transcends the grave and that Your love defeats despair. May this mystery fill me with courageous hope, that I might walk through trials with a steadfast heart, trusting that Your power makes all things new.

I praise You for the promise of the rapture, the glorious invitation to be united with You in glorious holiness, where sorrow dissolves in the light of Your presence. Until that day, steady my steps to live in readiness; guarding my heart, aligning my will with Your holy purpose, and shining as a witness to Your truth.

I bless You for the restoration of all things: restoration of relationships, communities, and the entire cosmos, where Your kingdom comes and Your will is done on earth as it is in heaven. May I be a faithful instrument of Your restoration, seeking reconciliation, justice, mercy, and peace in every corner of Your creation.

Grant me the grace to walk humbly in Your sight: to listen before speaking, to serve before seeking, and to love without condition. Shield me from pride and complacency, and pour into me a spirit of gratitude that overflows in generous deeds toward others.

Strengthen my faith to endure uncertainties with hope, to embrace gentleness in the face of fear, and to persevere in prayer. May I discern Your voice amid the clamor of the world, and may Your truth shape my thoughts, words, and actions.

Thank You for the company of saints, the fellowship of believers, and the quiet presence of Your Spirit within me. May I cultivate a life that honors You and, a life of repentance, worship, and joyful service.

Father God, we bow our heads in reverence,

We come before Your altar, laying ourselves at Your feet, humbled by Your grace and mercy. We are imperfect and have faltered, yet Your love remains steadfast.

We are undeserving, and still You pour out Your love in abundance, greater than anyone could ever imagine. The life You have gifted us is rich with Your immeasurable blessings.

Thank You for everything known and unknown, for the depths of wisdom and the light of Your Word that guides us, giving us a clear doctrine to live by.

Thank You for our fellow believers, whose support, service, and devotion help us grow in faith and in love.

Thank You for the promise of eternity and for the sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus Christ, through whom we are reconciled to You.

Thank You for the Earth and the vast beauty of nature, for the marvels of the heavens and the stars that fill the universe. Thank You for both the micro and the macro: the small details and the grand scales of creation.

Thank You for our health and for the advances in science and medicine that improve the quality of life for millions around the world.

Thank You for times of abundance and for Your presence through barren seasons, when You strengthen our faith, hope, and perseverance.

Thank You for joy and for tears, for all of life’s full spectrum.

Thank You for salvation and sanctification, for making us more like You each day.

Thank You for every moment of peace, wherever and whenever there is peace, when conflict subsides and humanity prevails.

We praise You, O Lord, and we offer reverence, gratitude, and awe. May our lives continually reflect Your goodness and glory.

Now may the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all, both now and forevermore.

Amen

O Lord,

Bless this day with Your wisdom, Your protection, and Your unfailing love. Let Your light illuminate my path, Your peace calm my heart, and Your grace sustain my soul now and forevermore. We praise You, O Lord, and we offer reverence, gratitude, and awe. May our lives continually reflect Your goodness and glory.

Amen

Scriptures to share for Thanksgiving:

For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, "This is my body which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me".

1 Corinthians 11:23–24

Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise;give thanks to him and praise his name

Psalm 100:4

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
